Combined with the house advantage, your average bet, your time playing, and the pace of the game, a casino can estimate how much it expects to win from you.

These gaming theoretical wins, or “EP” may be calculated by this formula:

Theoretical = Average Bet x Hours Played x Decisions per Hour x House Advantage.

I.e., suppose a baccarat player bets $500 per hand for 12 hours at 60 hands per hour.

Using a house advantage of 1.2%, your worth to the casino would be worth $4,320 (500 x 12 x 60 x . 012).

If you bet $500 per spin for 12 hours in double-zero roulette at 60 spins per hour
You would be worth about $19,000 (500 x 12 x 60 x . 053).

Casinos set complimentary guidelines by giving you back a set percentage of
the earning potential or EP, usually 30%.

Massive Layoffs, 7% Unemployment, Gaming Revenues at all time low.
Indian Casinos popping up all over the nation.
Is this the end of Las Vegas?

Let us know what YOU think!

Casino Employees, especially Strip Workers are being let go at an alarming rate. Even employees with decades of service are being demoted, laid-off, and even terminated in record numbers.

As “Larry’s Las Vegas” first reported (in our 5/24/08 post), Casino Downsizing is in full effect.

Las Vegas’ Unemployment Rate is at it’s highest in over 10 years.

Casino Downsizing is having a worrisome effect all over Southern Nevada. “Theres just no jobs out there” said Curtis Spurgeon, a Casino Dealer at a “Station’s” Casino. Las Vegans who’ve worked all their lives as dealers and bartenders, are facing the inevitability of pursuing a new line of work.

Las Vegas’ Casino Downsizing started about a month ago and shows no sign of slowing down. What makes this latest round of Casino Downsizing so alarming is that many workers let go have virtually no hope of landing similar jobs anytime soon.

Casino Downsizing may be the reason Nevada ranks 2nd in the U.S. of people on Food Stamps.

Minimum Wage Earning Casino Dealers promote their newest plan…… “Don’t forget to tip your dealer!”

According to research by Larry’s Las Vegas.com, Local 721 of the Gaming Division of the Transport Workers Union of America (TWU) will launch an marketing campaign on Monday to encourage the public to tip casino dealers.

“Most dealers rely on tips for the bulk of their income,” said TWU International President James C. Little in a statement.
“We represent dealers on the casino floor, at the bargaining table – that is clear. Now, we will be their voice to the public.

Until now dealers lacked an association, union or spokesman that could educate the public about the need to tip.”

Larry’s Las Vegas.com has learned that “TWU” will unveil its new advertising campaign at a Las Vegas news conference next week.

“TWU” says it represents dealers at Caesars Palace and at the Wynn casinos; other “TWU” representation elections for dealers are in progress in Las Vegas and across Nevada.

In a related event, Larry’s Las Vegas.com has learned that Casino dealers at the Rio filed a petitioned Tuesday with the National Labor Relations Board for a representation vote to unionize under Las Vegas Dealers Local 721, an affiliate of the Transport Workers Union of America.

Most of the Gaming public don’t understand or believe that Casino dealers earn little more than minimum wage. Tips are the bulk of compensation for Dealers, with minimum pay being barely able to cover their payroll taxes.

In this climate of Las Vegas Tourism decline, Casino Layoffs and Demotions, look for a surprising number of Casino Employees to entertain the idea of union representation like never before.

According to a 30 year veteran of casino dealing in Las Vegas (who wishes to remain anonymous) “Larry, I’ve always voted against Unions for dealers, this time I don’t know.”

In the opinion of us here at Larry’s Las Vegas.com, Look for more developments as Staff and Payroll decline while workloads and stress increase.

Tell us here at Larry’s Las Vegas if you think casino Dealers should abandon the close relationships Dealers and Management have enjoyed for decades or risk this long standing tradition by employing Union middle men.

In addition to interviews with Las Vegas Dealers, Larry’s Las Vegas also consulted the Transport Workers Union of America for this article.

Wanna Be Precision Dice Shooters Attacking Las Vegas Casinos in Record Numbers!

The theory is, If a person could control the revolutions of the dice and minimize random manner in which they come to rest, they could possibly make Craps the worlds first Casino Game that favors the player.

There are numerous discussions ongoing in the industry on the validity of these claims.

There are many, many web sites and businesses that offer training and support to make a person a “Precision Dice Shooter”

Larry’s Las Vegas finds that there are some casinos that are very lax in allowing the setting and tossing of the dice.
“Hit the back wall” is a term you’ll hear repeatedly at those casinos that are not as tolerant.

But can they make a difference? Can you beat the Craps Tables? Some say yes, some say no.

Tell us here at LLV what you think.

Everybody’s coming to Las Vegas! Why not you?
