LARRY REVEALS WHAT THE PROS KNOW ABOUT PLAYING BLACKJACK!

Many factors will decrease the houses built in “win” percentage. The important thing is knowing what they are, because dealing with them correctly is the only way the “Pros” and you will win. Larry’s Blackjack Variables consists of four factors : “HP or House Percentage”, The number of decks used, The particular versions of BJ and last but not least The playing decisions a player makes or “Basic Strategy”.

This chapter will deal with “House Percentage” and Number of Decks used.

If a Player decided to play by the same rules as the dealer, namely hit sixteen or less, and stand on seventeen and higher, the house would have a 5.5% advantage over the player. This is because when the player busts, the dealer does not hit their hand to see if they will bust. This is what we call the “Favorable Bust Percentage” and will occur in approximately 8% of all the hands.

In 8% of the time, the player busts and loses immediately, despite the fact that the dealer would have busted if they had completed their hand. The player doesn’t suffer an 8% “HP” because they receive a 3-2 payoff on” Blackjack”, while the dealer wins Even Money. The 3-2 payoff reduces the “HP” 2.5% to 5.5%.

(Some of the factors that affect “HP” are: Dealer hits soft 17, + .2% (5.7%), Proper standing on stiff hands vs. a dealer “up-card” of 2-6, -3.2%. to 2.3%, etc.)

The 5.5% relate to “Single Deck” Blackjack. The more decks used, the higher the “HP”.
(Lately, most “Single Deck” games pay only 6-5 on Blackjack and when you consider the stringent rules, Larry suggests you avoid this game altogether.)

The “HP” differences in number of decks used are as follow:

Two Decks +. 32%
Four Decks + .48%
Six Decks + .54%
Eight Decks + .58%

Next chapter we will explore the many versions of Blackjack and how they affect the “HP”. We will suggest which games to play and which to avoid.

UNTIL THEN………….

EVERYONE’S COMING TO LAS VEGAS! WHY NOT YOU?
