The “Twenty Dollar Trick” is well known among some Las Vegas veterans, and is widely discussed on the internet.
Basically the $20 trick is simply tipping the front desk clerk or personnel for a room upgrade. Often there may be room upgrades, such as a strip view, room close to the pool, a suite instead of just one room, etc., that it’s up to the discretion of the front desk personnel - and a tip always helps a discretionary choice go in your favor!
Larry Long and Larrys’ Las Vegas would like to remind you that Las Vegas workers depend on tips! and certainly, the more generous you are with them, the more generous they will be with you. That’s just called “doing business” in the good ol’ USA.
Now we want to discover, the extent to which “the $20 trick” is used in Las Vegas - please post your successes and failures with “the $20 trick” here so all our visitors can share in this information. I’m assuming that this will work very well at some properties, will work ok or sometimes at some properties, and at other properties, this may not work at all.
